Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MoonShot Inc. ("MoonShot", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit moonshotinc.co or contact us through it. We are based in Toronto, Canada, and we handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic technical data that every website receives:

• Contact form: your name, email address, company and the message you send.
• Insiders sign-up: your first name and email address.
• Technical data: your browser type, device, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages you visit.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and continue the conversation you started.
• To send Insiders notes from Paul, only if you signed up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• To keep the site secure and understand, in aggregate, how it is used.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this site. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

• Webflow, which hosts this website and receives form submissions.
• Vimeo, which plays the videos on our Thought Leadership page. Video players load with Vimeo's "do not track" setting turned on.
• Our email provider, which delivers messages and Insiders notes.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed for it to work and to keep it secure. Embedded videos may set their own cookies when you press play. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and Insiders details until you unsubscribe. We then delete or anonymize them.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to Insiders emails at any time. To make a request, send us a note through our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Our site links to other websites, including our portfolio companies. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave moonshotinc.co.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
